“Having lived in Bengaluru for several years and being quite fond of Davangere-style cuisine, I was genuinely excited to see a place in Jaipur attempting to bring those authentic flavours here. During my visit, we ordered two Plain Butter Podi Masala Dosas, one Ghee Podi Masala Dosa, one Plain Podi Ghee Roast Dosa, and a plate of Vada. The dosas were beautifully crisp, evenly roasted, and generously coated with aromatic podi (gun powder) that delivered the bold, nutty, slightly spicy flavour profile that Davangere dosa is loved for. The texture and roasting were spot on, and you could taste the authenticity in every bite. The chutneys deserve a special mention — fresh, well-ground, and extremely flavourful. “Visited Benneluru, recently opened in C-Scheme. The place is very small and cozy, but still nice and comfortable. For the price point, it’s actually really good. There’s no menu on the table, typical South Indian style, you read the board, place your order at the counter, and then they serve at your table. We tried 2–3 ghee dosas, they were okayish, a little heavy. The vada was really good and crispy, and the coffee was nice too. Mysore pak was average, but the filter coffee ice cream was the best, that’s actually what we went there for. Overall, it’s a simple go-to place for South Indian food. Rates are super affordable and light on the pocket. Good for a quick casual visit.”
