146th Edition of Jaipur Reads was held at Sardar-Ji-Bakhsh Coffee. The space where we sat had a roof covered with a translucent sheet rather than concrete, which allowed the natural light to fall in, minus the heat. Plants all around us, spacious seating, natural light and wooden aesthetics almost took us back to our sessions at Central Park, helping the readers feel a little more relaxed, and enjoy the calm that comes with these bookish Sunday mornings. Readers came in from different parts of the city bringing with them their unique set of books and stories. The humming of coffee machine acted like a soothing white noise amongst the occasional chatter and other background noises.
